St Leonards Bridge Footway Replacement – Perth

Client – Perth & Kinross Council

Duration 16 weeks

March 2013

St Leonards bridge an existing six span arch road bridge spanning over six lines of live rail network below. Our project involved installation of temporary working platforms which were hung from the existing steel frame of the bridge, allowing for an under slung system to the footways. The footways were made up of cantilevered steel works and concrete slabs.
The works consisted of removal of existing concrete slabs, full containment for blasting and painting of existing steel work, steel repairs to girders, replacement of footway slabs with new precast slabs, installation of high containment kerbs and surfacing of structure.
