Kenmore Bridge Refurbishment

Perth and Kinross Council – Kenmore Bridge Refurbishment

Duration – 10 weeks

August 2015

Kenmore Bridge was a partial refurbishment, working over the river Tay.
The works involved masonry repairs in various locations throughout the structure. Pick and point to all the wing walls and parapet faces.
Pressure grouting of central piers and cut waters, we developed a system of drilling into the piers every 450mm along all the joints both above and below water, sealing all the cracks with Prompt natural cement. We then wrapped the entire piers in heavy gauge visqueen to capture any lost grout. Each pier was filled with 4m3 of natural lime grout.
